At Saffron + Poe, we're deeply committed to honoring the natural world and giving back to organizations that are making waves to protect the planet and support communities across the globe.
As part of the 1% for the Planet program, we donate 1% of our gross sales to thoughtfully vetted organizations that are the heart and hard work behind endangered species conservation, youth empowerment and education, poverty relief, and so much more.
This year, we asked our team members to assist us in the donation selection process and choose an organization within the 1% for the Planet program that was close to their hearts, and why.
Ocean Conservancy
"Like so many of us, I am forever in awe of the ocean and all of its wonder. Whether it's a dolphin spotting, or sunset stroll along the water - the ocean provides us with so much peace and joy, and to think that human practices have greatly interfered with previously thriving oceanic ecosystems is devastating. Making a donation to an organization like this one that protects and promotes oceanic health and diversity feels impactful, important and imperative to the future of the planet."

Bye-Bye Plastic Bags
"We started our business in Bali and feel passionately about giving back to this community as part of our 1% for the Planet donations. During our travels there, we couldn’t help but notice the large amounts of plastic waste that littered the streets - in large part due to the tourism industry. We felt particularly drawn to supporting Bye Bye Plastic Bags because of this, and reducing single-use products is very much in line with our mission as a brand to create quality, long-lasting and sustainable products."
